Let Live Music Live
The idea behind Reggae Band Stand Live is to energize the Live Music scene of Mandeville, Central Jamaica and Jamaica. This will be an annual series with other stagings at Moby’s in May Pen on March 2014 and St Elizabeth in the Summer of 2014.
Mandeville Music Group ( MMG) will also use music as a therapy and as a social intervention, renewal and transformation medium so it intends to teach music via creative, exciting and innovating techniques. While the focus is on youth it will include the entire community and age group. The musicians emerging from these workshops will be recorded and featured on Band Stand Live and other projects and events involving MMG.
The patron for Mandeville Music Group and Reggae Band Stand Live 2013 is non other than the lovely and visionary Mayor Brenda Ramsay. Tickets are available at Fontana Pharmacy as well as the musicians, artistes, friends and supporters of Mandeville and of Mandeville Music Group.
